from NECW's DOUBLE INTENSITY Thanksgiving Weekend Spectacular - Saturday Night, November 29 and Sunday, November 30 with the
Return of WORLD WOMEN'S WRESTLING!
New England Championship Wrestling returned to the
National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA for the DOUBLE
INTENSITY Thanksgiving Weekend Spectacular!
On
Saturday night, November 29, a
packed house was on hand to witness an exiting night of NECW action.
In
the opening contest Davey Loomis pinned "Superstar" Ryan Matthews with
a German suplex, when both men had their shoulders down. Loomis got his shoulder up just
before the three count to get
the victory.
In a special Pat's Pit segment, Pat Piper brought out NECW President Sheldon
Goldberg who filled in the fans on the cease and desist demand that would lead
to the changing of the name of the wrestler formerly known as Lexxus.
At that point, Alexxis Nevaeh came to
the ring to talk to the fans.
She received a standing ovation, but
was attacked from behind by Mistress Belmont. The two were separated by NECW
officials. Nevaeh warned
Belmont
that she’d be the first win in the
career of Alexxis Nevaeh.
“The Talent” TJ Richter introduced his new bodyguard for hire, “Mr.
Munroe”. The nearly 6’10, 380 pound Munroe came to the ring as Richter
prepared to face his opponent, Asian star Makoto. Makoto pinned Richter, only to
be the victim of an assault by Munroe and Richter. As Richter attempted to pull
the mask off of Makoto, Kris Pyro, Davey Loomis, and Brandon Webb ran to the
ring to chase off Makoto’s assailants.
In NECW/
WWW
mixed tag team action, the team of “The Heat”
Kris Pyro and Alexxis Nevaeh defeated "The Natural" Scott Osbourne and
Mistress Belmont when Nevaeh pinned
Belmont
. This pin fall counts as the first in
the series of ten wins Alexxis must score in order to get another shot at the World Women's Wrestling Championship.
The following match was a gauntlet match for the NECW Tag Team Championship:
The Crown Jewels (Darling Damon and Bad Boy Jason) defeated Chase Del Monte and
“The Rocket” Fred Curry Jr. by forfeit when Del Monte and Curry failed to
appear by the referee’s ten count. The Jewels looked quite proud of themselves
leading to speculation that they had perhaps done something to the former
champions.
The
next team to enter was Team Nightmare (Evan Siks and Nick Steel). The Crown
Jewels and Team Nightmare tore into each other and erupted into a wild brawl all
over the
Quincy
Armory, leaving the place in shambles.
Both teams were eliminated as referee Rob Teutel called the match a no contest
as neither team would heed
his instructions.
This left two teams in the match to face off. Team Nightmare’s Lil Nicky
Amaral and Frankie Vain faced the reigning NECW Tag Team Champions Pride (Brian
Nunes and Dan Frietas). Pride retained after a good challenge by the junior
members of Team Nightmare with the electric chair-body press combo.
After the match, Pride claimed to be the greatest team in NECW history. D.C.
Dillinger appeared from the crowd and claimed that NECW was the house that
Sabotage built and that he
and "Die
Hard" Eddie Edwards would prove
it December 13th
in
Billerica
.
After intermission, D.C. Dillinger returned to the ring dressed for action, but
prefeaced his match with footage of him assaulting Pat “The Brat” Piper at
the NECW Toxic Waltz event earlier in the month and saying that he was there to
make a statement to the championship committee. Dillinger went on to pin Brandon
Webb after hitting him with a
Splash
Mountain
bomb to get the victory.
In a match for the World Women’s Wrestling Championship, reigning champion
"The Portuguese Princess" Ariel, accompanied by her agent "The
Prince of Pink" Brendan Michael Thomas defeated Taeler Hendrix to retain
the
WWW
Championship following the Dariel (Ace
Crusher).
In the main event, a six-man tag team match, the team of "The Golden
Greek" Alex Arion, "The Promise" Antonio Thomas, and NECW
Television Champion Handsome Johnny with Sammi Lane defeated NECW Triple Crown
Champion "The Mohawked Enforcer" Max Bauer, Jason Blade, and "The
Real Deal" Brandon Locke when Arion rolled Bauer up while he was distracted
by the posterior shaking antics of Sammi Lane. The match lasted nearly 30
minutes and was a great way to end the NECW season
in
Quincy
.
World
Women’s Wrestling made its
Quincy
,
MA
debut as part of the “Double
Intensity” weekend of events on November 30th
at the National Guard Armory.
In
the opening contest Nikki Valentine defeated Jennifer as both ladies made their
World Women’s Wrestling debuts.
Sean
Gorman interrupted the event stating that although he still has a month left on
his 90-day suspension from NECW, his lawyers have examined the stipulation and
he could still appear on
WWW
events. Gorman added that he was
rebuilding the Dynasty of Champions and introduced his newest charge… Mistress
Belmont.
Mistress
Belmont with Sean Gorman wrestled “The Gorgeous Greek” Elektra Arion to a
double count out. After the bell, it took 8
WWW
officials to separate the women.
In
a special challenge match Taeler Hendrix overcame the experience of Soul Sista
Jana, accompanied by Luscious Latasha, by countering an STO attempt into a
backslide pin fall.
During
intermission, there was nearly another incident between Mistress Belmont and
Elektra Arion.
Sammi
Lane, with NECW TV Champion Handsome Johnny, faced off with Roxxie Cotton.
Roxxie looked to have the match won as she climbed to the top rope for a
moonsault. Instead, the valley girl dove on the NECW TV Champ outside the ring
who had been verbally taunting her throughout the match. Cotton scaled the
turnbuckles once again to moonsault press onto Lane. Lane moved and used a
lateral press to score the victory in this match-up.
In
her second match in a series of ten before securing another
WWW
Title Shot, the wrestler formerly known as Lexxus, Alexxis Nevaeh,
pinned Soul Sista Luscious Latasha, accompanied by Jana, following a Fisherman's
Suplex Lift into Sitout Spinebuster. After the match, Jana jumped Alexxis. As
Latasha recovered, she joined the assault. Young Taeler Hendrix ran to the ring
to save Alexxis from further injury. Hendrix and Nevaeh cleared the ring of the
Soul Sistas and shook hands to the delight of the
Quincy
faithful.
The
main event for the World Women’s Wrestling Championship would end the night.
Champion “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel, with agent “The Prince of
Pink” Brendan Michael Thomas, defended the title against former WCW veteran
star Malia Hosaka. Hosaka and Ariel put on a wrestling clinic for the fans.
While the referee was distracted by Ariel, who appeared to have suffered an
injury, BMT jumped in the ring and hit an ace crusher on Hosaka. Ariel retained
her title after pinning Malia following her agent’s interference. The match
clocked in at just under 30 minutes.

NECW's
THE POWER OF LOVE, a Holiday Wrestling Spectacular to Benefit Toys for Tots,
Saturday Night, December 13 in Billerica, MA! Huge Double Main Event!
New
England Championship Wrestling presents its final live event of 2008 and perhaps
it’s most important on Saturday night, December 13 at 7 PM at the Billerica
Memorial High School, 35 River Street, Billerica, MA.
THE POWER OF LOVE is a benefit event for the United States Marine Corps Toys for
Tots Program. 100% of the proceeds will go to Toys for Tots. Admission to the
event is the donation of a new unwrapped toy, or a $10 contribution per adult,
$5 per child.
This year, toy donations for Toys for Tots are significantly down, according to
news reports. In these difficult economic times, the need is greater than ever.
We are asking that all of our fans who are within reasonable distance, please
come and lend your support by attending this event and bringing your family and
friends for a great night of NECW action for a very worthy cause.
You will be treated to a huge double main event! NECW Triple Crown Champion,
“The Mohawked Enforcer” Max Bauer will defend his title against the current
NECW Television Champion, Handsome Johnny. Only the Triple Crown will be on the
line, as “The Handsome One” gets the chance to cement his place at the
pinnacle of NECW.
The second half of our double main event is an NECW Tag Team Championship Dream
Match! The current NECW Tag Team Champions, PRIDE (Dan Freitas & Brian Nunes)
after their victory in a five team gauntlet match, are claiming to be the
greatest tag team in NECW history. Saturday night in Quincy, PRIDE were
confronted by D.C. Dillinger, claiming that he and “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards,
Sabotage, are the greatest tag team in NECW history. PRIDE are 3 time champions.
Sabotage are 4 time former champions. Which team is the greatest in NECW
history? The two most storied teams in the annals of NECW will collide on
Saturday night, December 13 to decide that very question!
In addition, #1 contender “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion squares off against
“The Real Deal” Brandon Locke. World Women’s Wrestling Champion, “The
Portuguese Princess” Ariel, managed by Brendan Michael Thomas battles Taeler
Hendrix in a non-title grudge match, “The Human Nightmare” Evan Siks of Team
Nightmare faces Darling Damon of The Crown Jewels, “The Talent” T.J. Richter
with his new bodyguard “The Bulldozer” John Munroe goes up against Makoto in
a return grudge match, plus “Superstar” Ryan Matthews faces the high-flying
Nick Westgate.
We hope to get at least 500 toys donated on this night. Please join us in
championing the cause of children in need.
THE POWER OF LOVE lives in NECW and in all of our fans and friends. Due to
the lateness of the facility being booked, there will be no advance sale.
Tickets and donations will be accepted at the door. We look forward to
seeing you in Billerica on Saturday night, December 13th!
Thank you in advance for your support!
